On the surface, Go Fast! Colorado Special Edition has the feel of many off-brand energy drinks. Thankfully it remains a step above those. It avoids a few off-brand detractors such as high fructose corn syrup and overly sweet flavor. That being said, it still has extremely high sugar content and doesn’t stray far from the stock energy drink flavor.

I hate to say it, but it reminds me of the stock energy drink flavor. One oddity is the inclusion of honey, an energy drink first as far as I've seen. It's a cool idea, though difficult to determine honey’s influence aside from the elevated sugar count in the nutrition facts. The closest comparison I can make is a knock-off Red Bull with heavier citrus flavoring.

It is a special edition, and it looks like one. There’s a lovely tribute to the Colorado state flag that wraps around the top of the can, with the Rocky Mountains filling the space below it. The Colorado livery is great, but the can tends to lean into its NASCAR themed marketing after that and loses a bit of its touch.
