Getting this beverage was a product of getting pre-historic and going back to the good old fashioned barter system. Matt needed an energy drink so I traded him a C4 Black Cherry (the best) for an IOU.
Pretty good IOU if you ask me with a C4 that I haven't had before - Watermelon Burst. It is SmartEnergy (TM) so unfortunately I won't get the tingly feeling that you get with the SuperHuman performance line. Oh well.
Not even close to as sweet as I was expecting on that first sip. It's a nice, somewhat subtle watermelon flavor. Dare I say watered down watermelon, at least from what I was expecting.
It's not as sweet as Adrenaline Shoc Watermelon, Reign Inferno Watermelon Warlord, Celsius Sparkling Watermelon, or Monster Ultra Watermelon - need I continue? It also doesn't have the sour bite that Red Bull Summer Edition Watermelon has.
But sometimes less is more. I like the simple, non-aggressive flavor from this C4. It's a nice change of pace.
Gradient green and pink on the classic C4 design is a nice touch.
Nice kick at 200mg of caffeine. Zero sugar and sucralose as the sweetener - it's pretty obvious if you're familiar with the artificial sweetener tastes. Watermelon Burst gave me a nice b(urst)oost to finish off my work day on a dreary Tuesday afternoon.
I like the simple, juicy watermelon flavor that Watermelon Burst has to offer. It's refreshing and highly re-drinkable which is about all you can ask for in an energy drink these days.
