Intro

The Lewis Hamilton edition tastes nearly identical to the original Monster. I thought that there was no difference at all, that is until I looked at the back of the can. It has fewer than half of the calories and sugar, with the same taste and caffeine content. If you are in the habit of consuming the OG Monster daily, then you may want to consider Lewis Hamilton instead.

Upside

Along with less sugar and fewer calories, it has the same unique taste as the original. No other brand has a flavor remotely similar, and trying an original Monster is all but required for energy drink fanatics.

Downside

150mg of caffeine (8.88mg/floz) is very modest for an energy drink. It has a low kick, and will not rev you up. Drinking it as an enjoyable beverage is the most you will get out of the Lewis Hamilton edition.

Upshot

Overall, this is an energy drink that is nigh indistinguishable from the original Monster. It has fewer calories and grams of sugar, with 150mg of caffeine. There is nothing special about this novel item, but it may be better for your health in bulk than the original Monster.
