CELSIUS put forth a strong entry into the crowded market of watermelon flavored energy drinks. Sparkling Watermelon avoids tasting overly artificial, which is common for watermelon flavored energy drinks. The drink still has some of the slight bitterness found in CELSIUS products, which I suspect is their propriety energy blend. It still remains somewhat refreshing, which is key for summertime enjoyment. CELSIUS' ability to provide flavor without any obviously unhealthy ingredients boosts the product as well in my eyes.

I was pleasantly surprised by the watermelon flavor. There has been a slew of watermelon flavored energy drinks recently. This is one of the better efforts. The drink tastes like a combination of artificial and natural watermelon flavors. It's nicely refreshing while also being enjoyable to drink. It has a little bit of bite to it, similar to most CELSIUS drinks.

Sparkling Watermelon isn't the sharpest color scheme in the product line. CELSIUS doesn't vary their product appearances very much, the exception usually being the accent color. I found the watermelon red in this product appears faded and doesn't stand out.
