Intro
BODYARMOR EDGE Power Punch tastes like the Bodyarmor version of red Gatorade (fruit punch), but with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Everyone knows that the alternative Gatorade flavors are superior, and this is no different. I generally enjoy the taste of Bodyarmor, but this is one I would exclusively drink for hydration purposes. It is not bad per say, but is also not too appealing in any way.
Upside
The upside is that you know you will have a mild boost of caffeine and hydration upon completion. I cannot say many positive comments about the taste, mouthfeel, kick, or appearance, but they are also not bad enough to be considered major downsides either. I would rather consume this than something like Rip It or Bang Birthday Cake Bash, but I would also wish that I was consuming something better.
Downside
There are literally no redeeming qualities about BODYARMOR EDGE Power Punch. The flavor is subpar and overused in sports drinks, the appearance is not appealing, and it only has 100mg of caffeine (5mg/floz). With no real benefit above other options, I do not see why people would buy this flavor.
Upshot
BODYARMOR EDGE Power Punch is the red Gatorade of Bodyarmor. It has no redeming qualities, but is also not actively unenjoyable. There are simply better flavors and energy drinks out there. While I enjoy the caffeinated 20oz Bodyarmor Edges while doing a strenuous task, this is definitely not a flavor I will be buying again.
